Me
My name is Steven Copley.
You’re arrived here so I suppose you may want to know something about me. Maybe you’re a stalker, maybe you just found me online from one some of the work I do. Whatever, you’re here, so I might as well tell you a little bit about myself. Here are some words I could use to describe myself (or have been accused of):
Husband, Father, Professional, Computer Geek, Entrepreneur, Freethinker, Roman & American History Buff, Tulsan, Hippie
I’m proud to call myself a husband and father. My family is the most important thing in my life. I love the work that I do and the companies I am a part of. Entrepreneurship is what I’m passionate about. I love to start new things and try out new ideas, and am not afraid of failing.
I enjoy studying different cultures and consider myself a lifelong student of history. Ancient Roman and American history are my favorite subjects. I could likely write a book, or at least be a good tour guide, on these topics. I’m from Tulsa, Oklahoma and have lived here a majority of my life, though I graduated middle and high school in Washington state. I have visited 39 US states and plan to see them all before I die.
I think skeptically and rationally and try to formulate my beliefs in life, morality, ethical values based on maximizing human flourishing and reason. I believe compassion is one of the most important traits of humanity and love to see myself and others becoming more compassionate as I move through life. I grew up fatherless and my grandpa filled the void in my life. I believe he taught me to be a strong, caring, loving and compassionate man who values family and friends more than money and stuff.
The best part about being a human is that all of the above is subject to change. If you want to know more, connect with me.
